Jennifer Cooke is an illustrator based in Northern Ireland, passionate about drawing the natural world. Her work is rooted in observation of the world around her and exploring her curiosities - she always has a sketchbook on the go (or several!). Jennifer has a slight obsession with ink and granulating watercolours, often using them in her work. Hand drawn, perfectly imperfect inky linework and textures form the foundation of every illustration she creates - whether an animal character, hand lettering for a greeting card, or an expressive botanical drawing. Whenever Jennifer is not illustrating you’re most likely to find her losing time in the garden, getting lunch at a local cafe, or exploring the beach with her Yorkshire terrier, Chico.
